My Story
REASON FOR RESCUE:
Basil is currently in private shelter in Romania after he was found at the side of the road with his siblings. Sadly they’re mother was not with them.
PREVIOUS AND CURRENT TRAINING:
He has no experience of living in a home environment - basil will need support with house training and continued socialisation.
He is used to a lead but again this will need continued support and training.
MEETING NEW PEOPLE:
Basil hasn’t shown any fear when meeting new people in the shelter.
He of course will need vital continued socialisation as he grows.
DOG TEST:
He gets on well with other dogs in the shelter.
CAT TEST:
Not yet tested but can be on request.
FOOD:
Basil currently eats a local puppy kibble - gradual change over onto new food must be done.
HOME ALONE:
Adopters will have to understand that basil may be a little unsettled within the first few days of entering his new home with a new routine and new people.
Giving him the time to decompress and adjust is key in supporting him. Time away must be done gradually.
CHILDREN:
Basil could live with children who are sensible and respectful of space.
HEALTH PROBLEMS:
Basil has no known health problems.
TRAVEL:
He will travel to his new home on defra approved transport. Type 2 license registered here in the U.K. and Europe.
He will travel with a passport, health book and import paperwork.
MICROCHIP:
Basil will arrive microchipped with dual registration to ensure his safety.
