Please ensure you read the following information carefully to ensure you are the right fit for our rescue dogs. 

If you do not meet our rescues requirements, sadly we wont be able to process your application. 

Applicants: 

* To adopt from Meadow of Hope dog rescue you must be 21 years of age and older. 

* Applicants over the age of 60+ Must secure rescue back up from a relative or friend under the age of 60 years. 

* If for any reason you are unable to keep your dog in your home you must return the dog back to Meadow of Hope dog rescue, However this is not a easy get out clause. all adopters must be willing to work through any behavioural issues with a qualified behaviourist. 

* You are required to carry out an initially 75 minute chat with the team to check your suitability and experience with dogs - following this you will be required to have a in person home check carried out by The A Team.  

*Before an initial application chat can begin each applicant is required to pay a £30 deposit that will come off the total cost of the dog if you are successful. If mitigating circumstances happen or we decide you aren't suitable this will be refunded. But if you stop replying or drop out without good reason this will not be refunded.

* An adoption contract must be signed on the day that the final Donato donation is due. 

Your Responsibilities as a dog owner:

insurance must be taken out on the day for the life of the dog - to ensure the veterinary care and public liability is covered in the event of an accident.

- All new owners must be willing to provide their adopted dog with exercise and mental stimulation they require. 

- Annual vaccines, flea and worming treatments and insurance must be kept up to date too protect the health and wellbeing of the dog.

- New owners must be willing to commit to at least 6 weeks of having the dog in the home and be given time to decompress. 

- You must not be planning or have booked any holidays, breaks or family visits for at least the first 3 months. 

Household members and resident animals: 

- Everyone in the home must be in agreement when adopting one of our dogs. 

- All existing dogs in the property must be neutered in line with responsible dog ownership. If there is a medical reason as to why they cant be neutered then please provide a letter from your vet. 

- Our dogs often come with little or no history therefor our dogs may struggle living with small children. 

work arrangements: 

- Our dogs must not be left at any one time longer than 5 hours, other arrangements must be in place such as a dog walker or day care. 

Property and security: 

- A in person home check is mandatory 

- maintain a secure garden 

- Many of our dogs will need direct access to a secure garden as many are not used to collars or leads. 

- Any holes or gaps must be securely blocked or closed off. Any holes in hedges must be secured by garden screening/mesh to ensure security for the dog.

( You are about to commit to 10 - 15 years with your chosen adopted dog. You need to have thought about how having a rescue dog will change your lifestyle. please take this decision seriously - these dogs have already been failed by society - don't let them down again)
